Travel FAQs

How do I book a trip with you to Italy?

Please follow the travel tab on my website and fill out the survey. I will be in touch upon your completion of the survey!

Do you accept payment plans?

I have a payment platform that allows for the sum to be divided up in the months remaining after the initial deposit is made.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes. A 20% deposit holds your place. The remainder is due 60 days before the start of the trip.

What are the top tourist attractions in Florence?

There are many! My experiences offer a different view than a museum or monument tour. We pack a lot in but it’s a pretty comprehensive experience of culture, history, art, food and shopping.

What is the local currency and how do I exchange money?

Italy is part of the EU therefore the Euro is the currency. There are ATMs everywhere. I highly recommend you come with a debit card.

How far in advance should I get a new passport?

Renew your passport approximately nine months before it expires. Check the expiration date because certain countries require passports to remain valid for up to six months after travel. Also, some airlines do not allow you to board if you do not meet this requirement.

Do I need a visa to visit Italy?

Not unless you decide not to go home and stay more than 3 months.

Is it safe to travel to Florence?

Absolutely.

What is the weather like in Florence?

Ever changing. It is in a valley so the weather moves through. I recommend layers when packing.

Are there any cultural customs I should be aware of while visiting Italy?

I don’t recommend activewear for walking around town. Italians dress and you will get more respect for looking, well… respectable.

What are the most common forms of travel while in Italy?

The trains are wonderful  but you can hire a car or fly depending on your destination.

What will we eat while in Italy?

So much great food you can’t imagine. It’s one of the main highlights of being there!
